9 Month Check Up

Kaden is doing fine in school and had a good note sent home on Friday. He goes to the dentist Friday morning. He is still saying he won't let them look at his teeth but we'll see.

Skyler had his 9 month check up yesterday afternoon. For some reason he is not gaining weight and has lost more weight again. He was down in weight the last time we went when he had ear infections last month. He is only taking in about 24 ounces of formula a day and he should be getting in 45 ounces for his age and height. They are trying to up the amount he is getting and how many times a day he has a bottle to get more calories in him. Although we will have to see cause when we went up in the amount in a bottle before he would always puke it up so they had us go back down. She is wanting me to bring him back for a weight check in a month instead of weighting for his 1 year check up. If he does not gain any weight or he loses more then she is going to send us to the failure to thrive clinic to find out what is going on with him. So lets all say a prayer that we are able to get him to be able to take in more formula and gain some weight. The only other concern was the fact that he is not crawling yet and can scoot himself around on his stomach with pushing with his feet but is unable to get up on his knees yet. He also should be able to stand holding on the couch by himself but he is not. So she wants us to only let him in his walker for 15 minutes a day and give him as much tummy time as he will take.

So that is it for now i am praying that the dentist goes smoothly for Kaden and that Skyler will continue to improve with his weight and crawling.

Summer School and Mama

Kaden started Kindergarten Camp Summer School Monday and had a rough day. At lunch they would not allow him to have ketchup cause they thought it was on his list for food allergies, he fell on the steps on the playground and has a fat lip that is black and blue and he also got on the wrong bus and had to get taken back to the school. He made it home on the right bus yesterday and rode the bus to school this morning. He keeps worrying that he is going to get lost again, so i have to keep reassuring him that it will be ok. His teeth have really been hurting him lately so it is a good thing that he has an appointment next week for the dentist. If he will cooperate then they will take care if his cavities that day but if not and depending on what they have to do then they may schedule him for a O.R at the hospital and do it then on another day. Hopefully we do not have to go that route but if we do i can understand that he is scared.

On the Skyler front he is doing really well, his teeth have still not broke through but i can see that they are ready to push on through. So he is still hurting and a little cranky. He has his 9 month check up on Monday which means more shots. And he goes back to the eye doctor on July 2nd. A big milestone was this morning when he said mama to me. I was so excited to hear him say it after i did. It was so cute but of course he has not said it again after those two times. We went to eat on Sunday and he broke out again, not sure what caused it this time. I am trying to get him into the Allergist so that we can try and figure how bad and what he is allergic to. I really thought he was not going to have the food allergies like Kaden but i am not so sure that is going to happen since this is the 3rd time he has broken out.

Nothing new really

Skyler broke out after eating a piece of cookie from the bakery. Looks like he will follow in his brother's footsteps with food allergies.

Nothing much new to report here. Skyler's two teeth have almost broken skin which hopefully will help him to not be so cranky. Kaden starts Summer School on Monday and his bus comes at 7:59am so he will have to get up earlier than he is used to cause he never had to be at Preschool until 9:30am.

Today is my first baby's 5th Birthday. He had a Skating Party yesterday. Thanks to everyone that came.

Kaden is now a Preschool Graduate. Today was his Moving Up Ceremony at school.

Skyler is feeling better and back to sleeping through the night again. Kaden is doing pretty good as well he is excited about Graduating preschool and his upcoming Birthday.

Ear Infections

Skyler has ear infections. We went to the doctor today and i suspected that he might. My angel that always sleeps from the time i put him to bed until the next morning, has woken up every night for the past four nights. Today from the time he got up has been bad as he has been crying all day and not acting like himself. He has not wanted to play with his toys that he loves or even eat his food or bottles. But we got some medicine this evening so hopefully he will start feeling better. I finally got him to go to sleep an hour and a half after his normal bedtime.

Kaden will be graduating from pre-school on May 20th. And he is very excited for his Birthday that next weekend.
