And the Winning Illness Is....

Kaden has severe Strep Throat. His glands are pretty swollen and you can tell just by looking at his neck. His neck hurts so bad that you would think he hurt in a accident. He is moving around like he has a neck brace on. Hopefully he will start feeling better soon, his temp is higher this evening than it has been the past two days. So it should be a fun next couple of days.

Have not gotten the results of Skyler's throat culture they sent off.

Sick Again

Ok well the boys are not doing so well anymore. I took Skyler to his doctor's this morning only to find out his throat was pretty red and they ran a strep test. The quick test which only takes five minutes was negative but they wanted to send it off to double check as she was concerned with the way his throat looked. She is giving us a new medicine for his eczema which is a compound of two different medicines. But she is also going to get him an appointment with the dermatologist. Since we can not seem to get his eczema under control. Skyler started sitting up by himself today.

As far as Kaden he woke up this morning complaining about different aches and pains. He said his head hurt, his knees and legs hurt his elbow hurt and so on. He wanted some Tylenol so i gave him some and he seemed fine. I just figured it was growing pains. I picked him up at school and he had a pretty good day and he seemed to be doing ok. After we had been at home a little while he started looking pale and complaining of his head, eyes, neck throat and ears hurting. So i took his temp after giving him some more Tylenol and it was 101.7. Of course it was like 4:45pm so i could not get him in to the doctor's. So i will see how he is in the morning and call them then. He is wanting to go to school to take his friend Nadia a flower. So cute he is sick and he is worried about giving a flower to a friend.

The boys are still doing pretty good. Skyler has a doctor's appointment in the morning, as the cream for his face is not working. It looks as if Kaden will end up having to do a sleep study as his new medicine is not working as it should. I will find out more at his Doctor's appointment at the end of the month. Skyler can walk a little bit in his walker but is not to interested in the crawling. Who knows maybe he will not crawl at all and just start walking.

Skyler

The boy's are both doing fine. Skyler now has two teeth and i think one more is trying to come in. Kaden slept through the night for the first time last night. I hope that it will continue and will not just be a one time thing. It would be so nice to not have to get up several times a night with him. Skyler has been rolling over a lot more now and when he is in his crib and rolls over to his stomach he gets so mad and lets you know about it. Last night when i checked on him before i went to bed he had rolled over to his stomach and was sound asleep with his two fingers in his mouth. He was sleeping good and he was not covered or anything so that he would not be able to breath, so i just left him and checked on him again a little later. He had not moved. Well when he woke up this morning and he was on his stomach he started screaming and he was so mad. Nothing much else going on right now.

Easter Sunday

The boy's had a great Easter. As always Kaden had us up early and Skyler was not amused by this. He went back to bed shortly after getting up. Other than it being cold it was not too bad of a day. I wish it was warm with nice green grass on Easter like it was when we were kids.

Skyler must have still been recouping from yesterday as he slept most of today. He has been eating his baby food pretty good now. He likes almost everything except the green beans and peaches. His favorite is squash. He is starting to adjust to having the baby food instead of a bottle but still gets mad about not getting his ba ba. So i usually hold off on giving him his juice until after he eats that way he is still getting his bottle and that seems to satisfy him. He is still anti-sippy cup, he wants nothing to do with it and will scream when you give him a cup. Oh well just like the baby cereal he will let us know when he is ready to use it.

Easter Bunny

After being sick all week i am finally starting to feel better today. I got out to take the boy's to see the Easter Bunny before the rush of people this weekend. Skyler done great and was not scared at all. The pictures turned out cute. Of course the ones i took were not to great cause Kaden got a hold of my camera and changed the setting without me knowing. Which caused the pictures to be blurry and Skyler would not look at me in any of them. So hopefully we can get copies made of the ones we paid for. After the picture i picked Skyler up so Kaden could tell the Easter Bunny what he wanted him to bring him and Skyler kept trying to get out of my arms and back to the Easter Bunny. Let's hope he will always be like that and never scared.

Sickness

Ok it is official i got the boy's Flu. I think i must have jinxed myself. Next time i just won't say anything. Taking care of the boy's and trying to get better by Easter.
