Hi

I spoke to soon as Sunday i started coughing and i have started to lose my voice. Other than that i am feeling pretty good. Nothing much else to report.

On the Mend

Kaden is doing much better and only missed one day of school last week. He is still coughing but not as much. Skyler is also on the mend still coughing and doing his breathing treatments. Tommy got over in a few days and i managed to not get it at all. Who knows how but i am glad.

Kaden got his preschool graduation pictures done in a cap and gown i bet they will be so cute when they come back. Skyler has learned to launch whatever he can find. He is also starting to sit up by himself pretty good for a little bit.

So everyone should be healthy and contagious free by Easter to see everyone.

Stay Away

Just trust me i when i say you want to stay away from our house. I had to take Skyler up to Children's Mercy Hospital at about 11:00 p.m we got home about 3:30a.m. He had a 101.3 Temp. Skyler was tested and it came back positive for the Flu that is going around, which means Kaden also has it since that is where Skyler got it. And since Friday evening Tommy is starting to show some symptom's as well. At this point i am the only one in the house that is not sick. I am hoping it is not a matter of time though. Skyler is back on breathing treatments as he is sounding really bad and pulling in on his sides to breath. They are thinking he may be getting the RSV virus again. They said that since he had the RSV virus when he was little and is now this sick again a few months later that he has a 33% chance of developing Asthma as well. We are crossing are fingers hoping that he does not develop anything serious in the future.

So if you are wanting to see us or are wondering why we have not called do not wonder anymore. As we are not wanting to spread this to you and are trying to sleep as much as possible. I am definitely ready for a break after taking care of two sick boys this whole week by myself as Tommy has been working.

It hits fast as Skyler had his check up on Thursday was fine no symptom's but Friday morning woke up like he is now. We are hoping that Kaden is going to be on the mend soon as he has been sick since last weekend. I am probably going to keep him home from school tomorrow too as he still sounds horrible and i do not want him to pick up anything new at school since his immune system is already down. It is hard as Kaden can not get the flu shot cause of his egg allergy and Skyler is too young to get it. Of course my luck they both get it.

Jamie we hope your leg is starting to feel better and we are trying to get this gone before Easter so that we can come and see everybody. Kaden says he hopes he gets better soon as he wants to see the Easter Bunny at the mall but he does not want him to get sick.

By the way Skyler had another first Friday morning as his first tooth broke skin. He is having a hard time right now dealing with everything at once. Hope everyone is healthy and has a good week.

First's

Ok things have been crazy around here. Kaden is still sick and missed everyday of school except today. Where i thought he might be feeling well enough to try going. Well when i went to pick him up he was asleep in the recliner by the door. Apparently he started falling asleep on the table at lunch time and after checking his temp and finding it normal they allowed him to go lay down. They said when he was awake he was really mellow and pleasant to be around. I guess his coughing had gotten worse. I got him woke up and Skyler and him into the van, but he was back asleep before we even got off the rode to get to the school. He wanted a root beer float and even though he was asleep i decided to get him one anyways. Once we got home and i moved him and Skyler back into the house that was the first thing he asked about. I gave it to him but he never did have but a few bites of it. Within 30 minutes of being home he was asleep again and slept until Daddy got home. I went to check on him earlier in the evening when he was upstairs with Tommy and he was asleep in my bed. He woke up and wanted dinner but never ate and started falling asleep on the couch a little bit later. So i took him upstairs and put him to bed. He feels a little warm but does not seem to be running a fever like he was. So i guess we will just wait and see if he needs to go back into the doctor.

On the Skyler side he had his 6 month check up today. He got three shots so not in the best of moods this evening. He is up to 15 pounds and 26 1/2 inches long. The doctor gave a new medicine to try on the eczema on his face so hopefully it will help get it cleared up better. Last night he tried juice for the first time and in a sippy cup. Did not go as well as it looks in the picture after that he was screaming. Tried in a little 2 ounce bottle with a silicone nipple but no he had to have his bottle with the latex nipple. He wants nothing to do with silicone nipples or binky's and will only use the latex ones. Talk about being picky. Once i put the juice in his bottle he was fine as you can tell from the picture.

Another milestone with Skyler was trying baby food for the first time tonight. We tried green beans but he did not like it and was making himself gag. I eventually gave up after a little bit and he ate his baby cereal. So i guess we will try again tomorrow. He has a little mesh feeder thing that you can put all kinds of food in for them to chew on and he loves hot dogs in it. So we at least know he does not seem to be as picky as Kaden is. Kaden would never eat hot dogs even as a baby and still will not touch them.

Here we go again

I bet you can not guess which one of the boys is sick. Kaden started with the cough and headache this weekend and it progressed last night and he has been running a fever of 102.1. So of course i did not get to bed until about 3:30 this morning, and he still woke me up a couple times before 7Am. So far this morning all he feels like doing is laying on the couch on the bed i made for him. He has played with his drawing board a little and his Nintendo Ds. He just got up for the first time and that was only to go potty. Hopefully we can get rid of this fever soon otherwise we will be making a trip to Children's Mercy. He has a horrible cough and still complains of the headache.

On the Skyler front he is doing great right now until Thursday when he goes in for his 6 month check up and shots. Then he will be crabby for about a week. Lucky me the fun never seems to end. I am trying to keep the boys separated as much as possible.

Kaden was laying on the couch early this morning and i told him he could not go to school or to Gymboree class cause he was too sick. He has been wanting daddy to take him to get a new video game for his DS, so he asked me is his fever gone yet he thinks he is not too sick to go to the Game store. He keeps asking me like every 15 minutes is fever gone yet. Oh to be young again.

Still Here

Not too much new to report. Kaden still has his cough and Skyler now has it too. Skyler has been pretty crackly in his chest so we are doing breathing treatments with him again. Hopefully this will help him from getting RSV again or Pneumonia.

Skyler rolled over from his back to tummy for the first time today. He rolled from his tummy to back on my birthday. His new thing is he has figured out how to pull his socks off, so he usually has one in his mouth. He thinks it is so funny when he does this.

Everyone beware Kaden was at the store the other day and he has planned out what he wants for easter, his birthday and Christmas for this year. Talk about being ready ahead of time. He absolutely loves firetrucks and firefighters and has told Tommy he needs to quit his job and become a firefighter. He has also decided that when he grows up he wants to be a firefighter.

Sickness Again

Well we have not updated for a few days so thought we better i am sure everyone is dying to see more pictures. Kaden is still not feeling too great and missed two days of school last week. He is starting to lose his voice. Skyler is getting his first tooth and may have another ear infection we are taking him to the doctor to check tomorrow.

We have had a squirrel chew a hole in the windowpane behind the kitchen and in Kaden's bedroom window. I kept thinking it was a mouse but could not find anything so i kept hearing the noise and decided to go look around back. Sure enough he was perched up on the window chewing away, until he saw me that is.
